Winemaker Pierre Wahl has proved over many years that he is capable of making some of the country’s best Pinotage. This Pinotage Gold 888 confirms his spot at the top. It is a selection of three of the best barrels from 2009, which is considered a very good and ageworthy vintage in South Africa.

Only 888 bottles were made of this exceptional wine, making it very special indeed. The wine is full bodied and rich and deserves a bit of patience. A good buy from the cellar, to be enjoyed at a special celebration.

On the nose: explodes with aromas of cranberry and subtle hints of mulberry and vanilla spice.

On the palate: rich and creamy and finishes with smooth and well matured tannins. gentle presence of oak on nose and palate supports this delicious wine.
