Popular Cape Town restaurant The Yard at Silo is well-known for its bold take on Asian and European cuisines. Diners can now experience brunch at The Yard every Sunday from 10h00 onwards. Those who attend Sunday brunch can expect live jazz, from 12h00 to 15h00, over and above the regular food offering.

What’s on the menu for Brunch at The Yard

The new menu for brunch at The Yard menu features a range of options designed to satisfy any and all tastes. The classic brunch menu will include croissants and Eggs Benedict, topped with The Yard’s Maltaise sauce – a blend of blood orange juice and classic Hollandaise sauce. Health nuts can choose between Bircher Muesli (mixed with berries, rooibos, cinnamon-spiced peaches and a crumbled nut brittle) and an egg-white soufflé omelette (made with brie cheese, wild mushrooms, avocado and baby spinach).

Those with a sweet tooth are invited to try a selection of delectable options, including berry-and-liquorice and lemon meringue waffles. 

A touch of Indian Flair

Bagel-lovers can enjoy a fresh bagel served with saffron chicken tikka and a side of turmeric mayo and mango chutney. The Yard also serves savoury waffles with a choice of grated beef mince bobotie, prawn bisque or chicken tikka masala toppings. The Yard’s brunch showpiece is traditional Indian dosa, which is both vegan and gluten-free. This fermented rice flour pancake is co-founder G.P. Singh’s signature offering. Dosas can be ordered with chicken biryani, keema-spiced lamb, palak paneer or dal makhani.

Based in the Silo District, a new and trendy niche in the popular V&A Waterfront, The Yard is the ideal venue for a brunch catch-up with friends. Restaurant-goers can enjoy meals from the Yard’s brand-new brunch menu while overlooking the harbour and tugboat moorings.
