A classic gyro is usually made from meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie and served wrapped or stuffed in pita bread. This &#8216;new method&#8217;, which was encountered by the owners in Greece five years ago, involves cleaner and more sanitary approach to cooking meat. The meat is thinly sliced, then cut on open kitchen butcher blocks with custom made half-moon knives, unique to GRK.<\/p>\n<p>The new method not only offers a product that is fresher and safer, utilising only top-quality meat (prepared and grilled onsite), but also ensures that discerning diners are provided with great tasting food in a modern, upmarket, yet casual setting.<\/p>\n<div class=\"rir-row\"><div class=\"rir-cols-2\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/NP_1344-4x6-1.jpg\" \/><\/div><div class=\"rir-cols-2\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/NP_1275-4x6-1.jpg\" \/><\/div><\/div>\n<blockquote><p>Although a different take on the traditional gyro, there is no compromise on that punchy gyro flavour.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Pork, beef, lamb, chicken and kofta gyro are offered, all served in traditional pita. The pitas, which are imported directly from Greece, contain no added sugar and are suitable for vegetarians and vegans \u2014 available in four variations \u2013 village (choriatiki), wholegrain, carob and corn. Furthermore, vegetarians and vegans have the option of falafel, traditional halloumi and mushroom.<\/p>\n<div class=\"rir-row\"><div class=\"rir-cols-2\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/NP_1272-4x6-1.jpg\" \/><\/div><div class=\"rir-cols-2\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/NP_1325-4x6-1.jpg\" \/><\/div><\/div>\n<p>All gyros come with a <a href=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/your-saucy-guide-to-different-types-of-sauces\/\">variety of\u00a0dips<\/a>, which have been specially adjusted to South African palates, making it more appealing. Dips include classic options such as <a href=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/recipe\/tandoori-aubergines-with-mint-tzatziki-2\/\">Tzatziki<\/a> (garlic, herbed or avocado)\u00a0and hummus but also less traditional\u00a0flavours such as yoghurt mustard and babaganoush.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>For authentic yet elevated Greek street food which you can enjoy at the eatery or at home, look no further than GRK.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The menu also includes a variety of salads, all freshly prepared with top quality produce \u2014 displayed in GRK&#8217;s fruit and vegetable fridge, in their open kitchen.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>GRK Contemporary Eatery<\/h4>\n<p>The eatery, which is owned by Greek natives, displays a fresh clean look, with interiors designed by Giorgio Tatsakis of <em>Atelier Giorgio<\/em>.
