Only a year old, Deep South Eatery is the multi-faceted eatery that has brought life to the old Glencairn Hotel. \"\"Melissa and Ryno Du Rand had been on the hunt for kid-friendly restaurants for ages. They wanted a special place where their kids would feel comfortable, but that also didn\u2019t compromise on the quality of food or atmosphere. Deep South Eatery became an actualisation of their dream. It\u2019s got sophistication for the adults, while also catering for children in both menu and entertainment. There’s a play area outside, close enough for parents to keep an eye on their little ones and the kid\u2019s menu has all the favourites at great prices.<\/p>\n

A Restaurant that Caters to your Mood<\/h4>\n

\"\"Deep South has an extensive menu ranging from seafood and bistro classics to authentic wood-fired pizzas and smokehouse meats by The Hickory Shack<\/a>. The old hotel is a beautiful farm house with many rooms which act as separate dining areas, depending on your mood and company. The deck overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and makes for the perfect lunchtime spot or sunset dinner. The Sushi Bar, with its plush interiors and fireplace, leads you to the outside dining area which is perfect for large groups or families with kids as it overlooks the play area.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the menu offers you a variety of choices, depending on the occasion and your preference on the day. You\u2019ll see all the beloved seaside staples \u2014 Fish and Chips, Crispy Squid and a Pot of Mussels \u2014 but you\u2019ll also see a few signature items like Braised Pork Belly, Red Miso & Chickpea Curry and a Butcher’s Cut Sirloin. They also have a wood-fired pizza oven on site producing delicious, authentic Italian pizzas as well as The Hickory Shack\u2019s smoker producing fall-off-the-bone Texas style BBQ briskets and ribs.<\/p>\n
