In case the grapevine news hasn\u2019t reached you, here\u2019s what you missed. Franschhoek\u2019s Bastille Festival is still on the cards, but instead of the traditional format, the festival will be coming to you – Bastille Festival 2020 is going virtual!<\/p>\n

A Virtual Bastille Festival 2020<\/h4>\n

A first-of-its-kind for Franschhoek, the organisers have called on the support of its members to showcase the valley through the lens of locals. A virtual journey through Franschhoek starts on 1 July as the valley showcases some of the region\u2019s finest offerings. Each day until 10 July you get to \u2018encounter\u2019 something new. Experience Franschhoek as locals do \u2013 foraging for mushrooms, horse riding amongst the vineyards, a sunrise sabrage, art and sipping superb wines are just some of the highlights you can expect to see.<\/span><\/p>\n

You don\u2019t want to miss out on the countdown days as they\u2019ve lined up amazing offers which will only be revealed on the relevant day. These include wine, restaurant, accommodation and retail offers only available for this event.<\/span><\/p>\n

The countdown culminates with Saturday, 11 July which would have been the day for the actual festival. A jam-packed day of Franschhoek festivities have been planned to celebrate Franschhoek\u2019s French heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Check into the Franschhoek Bastille Festival’s social media platforms throughout the day for an exciting line-up, which includes all things Franschhoek inspired.
