The Venue<\/h4>\n

Little Orchard Nursery<\/i> shares the same property and the outdoor seating area for Quince restaurant is seamlessly surrounded by the lovely foliage of the nursery.<\/p>\n

Rows of colourful blooms and greenery form the background, shaded by the arching branches of a huge Oak tree that forms a central part of the property.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The nursery enhances the natural beauty of the surroundings, offering not only a pretty backdrop but a great spot to pick up a few new plants for your own garden.<\/p>\n

Take a seat either outside under the awning or inside in one of the comfortable rooms. A further intimate patio overlooks a children\u2019s play area, complete with a natural jungle gym to keep little ones entertained, while you enjoy one of Quince\u2019s specialities.<\/p>\n

One of the indoor areas also has a fireplace, so when winter rolls around, there will be a cosy and warmed spot to enjoy your tea.<\/p>\n

The Menu<\/h4>\n

Graham Isaacson (previously of\u00a0The River Cafe at Constantia Uitsig) has developed a caf\u00e9-style menu that suits the surroundings. Expect a large selection of breakfast choices with delicious dishes like a Bio Bowl – granola, honey and vanilla panna cotta and fresh fruit or Eggs Waterford – two poached eggs on a root vegetable rosti with farm butter hollandaise and your choice of salmon, bacon, spinach or avocado.<\/p>\n

For a light brunch options try the Boho – a vegetarian dish of Moroccan-style chickpeas, with fresh avocado, rocket, dukkah and wholewheat seed toast or the Smoked Salmon Trout Stack smoked salmon encasing a smoked salmon mousse with fresh avocado, green apple and cumin cream lemon dressing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There is also a range of toppings for artisan breads<\/a>, plus fresh and interesting greenhouse salads such as Vietnamese Chicken with 5-spice roast chicken, garden greens, pickled cucumber and furikake with yuzu dressing at Quince Restaurant. For lunch, there is a great selection of bistro meals such as delicious burgers and daily specials that include pasta, line fish, soups and more.<\/p>\n

Sweet Treats and Take Homes at Quince<\/h4>\n

For those looking for something on the sweeter side, there is a cake selection presented every day, together with fresh scones (which Quince is known for) and farmhouse cheesecake.<\/p>\n

Quince restaurant is proud to also consider the earth first in their choice of produce and use organic, free-range and grass-fed products. Where possible items are recyclable and pesticide-free.<\/p>\n

Quince also has a small farm-stall style shop that stocks a range of jams, biscuits and other items that are perfect for a take-home gifts for your self or someone else.<\/p>\n

From Cape Town, take the M3 towards Constantia. Take the Kendal Road turn off (M38) and follow the road down towards Main Road; cross Main Road into De Waal Road. Go over the bridge and take the first left and a sharp left again into Massinger Road. You will see the gate and entrance onto Waterford farm on your right. Quince Restaurant trades 7 days a week from 08h30 to 16h30.<\/span><\/p>\n
