I’m sure we can all appreciate wine (to whatever extent). But some of us may get a bit lost at a wine tasting between the fancy sommelier-jargon, the leg-judging, tannin-calculating glass swirl (emitting all sorts of flavour profiles that second-guesses every thought you once had of an ester), and of course, choosing the right answer to “What hints do you get?”. It can be stressful drinking wine with self-proclaimed wine connoisseurs. Luckily Local Artisan Publik Wine Fair is all about quality wine – no stress and no self-proclaimed wine snobs.<\/p>\n

\u00a0New Venue<\/h4>\n

Publik Wine Fair \u2013 Joburg will take place on 16 November 2019 at the Victoria Yards venue in downtown Johannesburg. With its large industrial warehouse the venue brings new capacity to allow for even more guests, ensuring a festive afternoon to taste the latest releases from some of the best artisan wine producers in South Africa.<\/p>\n

The best of Cape Town and Johannesburg<\/h4>\n

Taking place annually in both Cape Town and Johannesburg, the informal wine tasting<\/a> was created to showcase the quality of South African independent artisan wine producers in an approachable and unpretentious way. In its second year now, Publik Wine Fair \u2013 Joburg 2019 will bring together some of the best growers, winemakers and producers who will pour over 100 wines for visitors.<\/p>\n

Visitors will taste limited production wines from lesser-known grapes and areas and engage with the makers themselves to understand firsthand what makes them and their wines so special.<\/p>\n
