These follow on from his sell-out visit to Pretoria last year.<\/p>\n<h4>MasterChef Australia\u2019s Ben Ungermann in South Africa<\/h4>\n<p>The two-hour Masterclasses will take place at Capsicum Culinary Studio campuses in Pretoria (March 11); Johannesburg (March 12 and 13), Port Elizabeth (March 15), Cape Town (March 18, 19, 20 and 21) and Durban (March 25, 26 and 27).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-67112\" src=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Ben-Ungermann-Capsicum-1-x-6.jpg\" alt=\"Ben Ungermann\" width=\"1000\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Ben-Ungermann-Capsicum-1-x-6.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Ben-Ungermann-Capsicum-1-x-6-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Ben-Ungermann-Capsicum-1-x-6-940x564.jpg 940w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ungermann will be presenting three classes: <em>The Whole Chicken Masterclass<\/em> (how to take apart and use every part of the chicken); <em>The Fish Masterclass<\/em> (how to fillet and cook fish perfectly every time) and <em>The Dessert Masterclass<\/em> (some of Ben&#8217;s famous desserts including ice cream).<\/p>\n<p>In 2017 Ungermann decided to pursue his dream of a life in food on <em>MasterChef Australia. <\/em>He finished as runner-up and discovered a love and talent for desserts.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Dubbed the \u201cIce Cream King\u201d by his fans, Ben and his brother Danny opened up Ungermann Brothers retro ice cream parlour in Ipswich (near Brisbane, Australia) last year which is run and operated by the Ungermann family.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.instagram.com\/BenUngermann\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Follow Ben Ungermann on Instagram<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Masterclasses by Ben Ungermann<\/h4>\n<p>Since <em>MasterChef Australia<\/em> Ungermann has been travelling the globe, from Japan to England and Indonesia as well as his homeland in the Netherlands, giving masterclasses.<\/p>\n<p>He describes his food style as rustic with a hint of sophistication and some very diverse and unique flavour combinations.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>So far, he has been able to work with some of the best chefs internationally from Yotam Ottolenghi and Clare Smyth to Heston Blumenthal.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ungermann is delighted to be returning to South Africa: \u201cIt is such a beautiful country. I was lucky enough to go to Madikwe to experience a game safari. It blew my mind. I wasn\u2019t able to eat at a lot of South African restaurants but I did go to Restaurant Mosaic to meet Chef Chantel Dartnall and the meal I had exceeded all expectations \u2013 one of the best I have ever eaten. I am delighted that I will now get to visit Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth. I can\u2019t wait to try out more fantastic culinary establishments. I also can\u2019t wait to meet my fans and present a new series of masterclasses.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Says Capsicum MD Renee Hill: \u201cWe are thrilled to welcome back Ben this year.
