Allesverloren is one of the oldest wine estates in the Swartland. Current owner and cellar master Danie Malan is the fifth generation Malan on the estate.<\/p>\n

Location and Terroir<\/h4>\n

The vineyards creep up the imposing Kasteelberg in the scenic Riebeek Valley. The region\u2019s meso-climate provides the ideal conditions for creating big, robust red wines.<\/p>\n

The soils on the farm are a mixture of shale and weathered sandstone, which is crucial to the particular character of Allesverloren wines, and result in deeply coloured, powerful wines with an excellent concentration of fruit.<\/p>\n

Allesverloren is renowned for its Portuguese varietals, fortified wines and full-bodied reds, made in the traditional Old-World style.<\/p>\n

For the Love of Wine: Ros\u00e9 or Chenin?<\/h4>\n

Allesverloren Tinta Ros\u00e9 is a refreshing blush wine with an alluring nose of strawberries and raspberries. The wine has a fresh taste of raspberries and cherries, with a hint of vanilla that lingers on the palate.<\/p>\n

Allesverloren Chenin Blanc is the first white wine in the estate\u2019s range. The wine is brilliantly clear with a green tinge. It has subtle nuances of lead pencil, yellow apple and lime on the nose and on the palate, this medium-bodied wine shows flavours of ripe stone fruit. It has great balance of acidity with an elegant finish.<\/p>\n
