With the awesome Fizz & Fudge Summer Pairing, wine tasting has rarely been so much fun.<\/span><\/p>\n

For just R40 per person, a duo of Stellenbosch Hills’ Polkadraai bubblies can be tasted, each with a custom-made fudge. And it isn’t any old fudge either. Created by the boutique Basilei<\/a><\/strong> handcrafted confectionary, the treats are the perfect companions as part of the season’s hottest couples.<\/span><\/p>\n

Paired with traditional butter fudge, the Polkadraai Pinot Noir Sparkling Ros\u00e9 2018 is a wine that brims with flavours of red berry and strawberry, and a hint of candy floss.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, there’s the Polkadraai Sauvignon Blanc<\/a><\/strong> Brut 2018 whose crisp palate and flavours of tropical fruit are just the ticket when sampled alongside Basilei’s delectable chocolate malt fudge.<\/span><\/p>\n

Just as Stellenbosch Hills takes care to use only the best grapes from a selection of vineyards across on of South Africa’s most famous wine regions, so too do brothers Marcos and Istvan Jordaan of Basilei stand by the quality ingredients for their confectionary.
