A prelude to Riva\u00a0 Restaurant<\/h4>\n

Young chefs Nicol\u00f3 Rovarini and Federico Rocca, are relocating to Cape Town to open their own restaurant, Riva, and as a prelude to this, will be creating a once-off risotto menu starting on Monday, 9 April till Saturday, 5 May. There will be a whopping 16 different risotto dishes on offer \u2013 four per night, changing weekly \u2013 and you\u2019ll want to try them all.<\/p>\n

Risotto is the perfect autumn comfort food \u2013 rich, earthy, warm and nurturing for when the cooler weather begins to blanket the city.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What to expect at the Autumn Risotto Pop Up at 95 Keerom<\/h4>\n

The Autumn Risotto Pop Up will showcase different kinds of risotto rice prepared in a wide variety of authentic ways, as handed down in Italian families over many generations. The classic risotto alla Milanese with saffron, the equally famous Italian mushroom risotto, risotto with butternut and goats\u2019 cheese, delicious asparagus risotto with prawns or crispy pancetta, or heavenly risotto with mascarpone and walnuts, are just some of the tasty gems that await you.<\/p>\n

We sampled a number of the risottos that will be featured and our favourites included the Il Risotto al Pomodoro e Stracciatella (fresh tomatoes and creamy burrata stracciatella\u00a0cheese) paired with a glass of Steenberg Nebbiolo and the Il Risotto al Formaggio e Noci (with Taleggio cheese and pecan nuts) paired with Steenberg Semillion.<\/p>\n
