Who is StreetSmart?<\/h4>\n
StreetSmart SA is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the social integration and upliftment of street children, a commendable organisation changing the lives of many in the area. StreetSmart plans to utilise the proceeds from the event in support of affiliated NGO\u2019s working with children in Franschhoek.<\/p>\n
The Chefs behind the Franschhoek StreetSmart Fundraiser<\/h4>\n
Chef-proprietor of Foliage<\/a>, Chris Erasmus<\/strong>, enjoys wide acclaim for his unique cooking style from home-grown vegetables and foraged wild ingredients. Born and bred in the Karoo, Chris learned the tricks of the trade through his mother and grandmother who placed heavy importance on homegrown food. His restaurant serves some of the most interesting wild fare with an ever-changing menu according to what comes into the kitchen.<\/p>\n Darren Badenhorst<\/strong>, chef de cuisine and owner of Le Coin Fran\u00e7ais, creates \u201cart on a plate\u201d that leads guests through a unique culinary exploration of flavours, textures and interactive creations inspired by nostalgic food memories.<\/p>\n Head chef at Bread & Wine on M\u00f4reson Farm for the past 18 years, Neil Jewel<\/strong>, is famous for his masterly crafted charcuterie and delicious, uncomplicated food.<\/p>\n The three chefs combined will ensure a spectacular experience.<\/p>\n The price includes wine pairings but excludes other beverages and a service charge.
