Guests can savour sweeping views of the V&A Waterfront, the harbour and Table Mountain while sipping on specialist cocktails<\/a>, carefully curated to complement the season. A speciality at The Union Bar is the Elderflower Martini; a refreshing mix of Tanqueray Gin; Elderflower syrup; freshly squeezed lime, mint and fresh pineapple juice. The cocktail is shaken cold, fine strained and served in a chilled Martini glass.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a lovely refreshing, sipping cocktail that tends to be very popular amongst the ladies. It\u2019s summery and floral but balanced with amazing fresh zestiness and botanicals from the Gin,\u201d says Heinrich La Meyer, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Barman Amanda Moyakhe brings his signature flair\"summer<\/h4>\n

Revelling at the chance to unleash his creative flair as well as interact with The Table Bay\u2019s diverse guests is new barman, Amanda Moyakhe. He recently joined The Table Bay from another prominent Cape Town hotel. Originally from the Eastern Cape, Moyakhe was trained at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. He has always been interested in the hospitality sector which offers him the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. He enjoys speaking to them and through these conversations, he often inspired to create new drinks and cocktails.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love to hear what my guests like to drink. This gives me ideas to test new flavours and combinations. When I create something new, I am encouraged when my guests enjoy my creation,\u201d he says, stressing that quality spirits and fresh ingredients are very important. \u201cThe flavour should always be complex and well balanced as well,\u201d adds Moyakhe<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
