Rum and rum eateries are following hot on the heels of the uber-popular gin<\/a> and gin bar<\/a> trend. Pineslopes Shopping Centre in Fourways, Johannesburg is now home to the newest Rum eatery. Packed with a real rum punch, Roxanne’s Rum Eatery is inviting and unique in so many ways.<\/p>\n

Roxanne is for the every woman. She is a head turner, a heartbreaker. She is brave and untamed. Men want to be with her. Women want to be her. When she looks at you, suddenly you\u2019re the only person in the room.<\/p>\n

But don\u2019t try to hold onto the moment, for it is fleeting. Roxanne cannot be caged; she will not be tamed. She\u2019ll remind you what it\u2019s like to live for the moment. For all of us, even those unaware, have a little bit of Roxanne within.<\/p>\n

The interiors at Roxanne’s Rum Eatery provides the perfect backdrop or focus points for the social age. Every corner of this restaurant is entirely Instagram worthy and sure to up your \u2018likes\u2019.<\/p>\n

Bare brick walls and hardwood floors are mixed with leather benches and odd lamp shades to give Roxanne\u2019s an intriguing and eclectic feel. Neon signs cast a sensual glow and bespoke tattoo<\/a> inspired art murals to provide strength and confidence to this unique venue.<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s the on-site tattoo parlour. Yes, you read correctly. Fallen Heroes, one of Joburg\u2019s well-known parlours have set up a fully equipped section of the restaurant. All to\u00a0meet the health and safety standards, bookings are by appointment only and made through Fallen Heroes.<\/p>\n

Roxanne\u2019s #brunchfast menu, a mixture of breakfast favourites with hints of the Caribbean. Try out the Jack-Ma-Bacon, freshly made flapjacks with bacon, cr\u00e8me fraiche and covered in rum syrup. When lunching, give the Smoked Paprika Shrimp Taco a go, a bed of avo puree is topped with kimchi, smashed black beans and corn piccada.<\/p>\n

Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re not in Mexico when you eat this. “DAWGS” are served with curly fries and greens, and glance over the Crispy & Frisky section for some Popcorn Chicken & Waffles<\/a>. With Glam Burgers, Busty Bagels, Slinky Salads and X-rated Cheesecakes you might end up ordering everything on the menu. Don\u2019t say we didn\u2019t warn you!<\/p>\n

The Midnight Martini will give you that island living, barefoot-to-dinner vibe; a blend of dark rum, Campari, coconut syrup and espresso. And the Gypsy Rose Lee might make you believe you\u2019ve woken up in Mississippi, with dark rum, rose syrup, guava and lime juice, orange bitters and egg white.<\/p>\n
