Roussanne is a variety common in the northern Rh\u00f4ne area of France, and is most commonly found in blends with Marsanne. Roussanne is a difficult variety to grow and therefore there are more Marsanne vineyards, even though Roussanne produces the more elegant wines.<\/p>\n
The latest addition to the selected few of this single variety is from Pieter De Waal, aka The Hermit. Pieter makes something new every year and this wine will probably not be repeated any time soon, if ever.<\/p>\n
It is one of those wines which will always provoke conversation around the table due to the fact that, it is in the first place a variety you don\u2019t often find on the shelves, and also because it is so delicious and drinkable.<\/p>\n
