Can you actually believe it is nearly the middle of the year? It feels like yesterday that we were setting New Year resolutions. Yes, 2017 is happening and quickly, but one good thing to come out of it is the food. As with every year, food trends wait for no man, so we\u2019re looking at some of our favourites that we\u2019ve already seen in 2017.<\/p>\n

Turmeric Lattes<\/strong><\/h4>\n

There seems to be a very popular health trend taking place this year and it\u2019s starting with morning drinks. Contrary to the name, a turmeric latte contains no caffeine\u00a0but is instead made with non-dairy milk, turmeric (preferably using the root itself and not just the powder), cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg. Maple syrup and coconut oil can also be added for sweetness and richness. If this sounds like it\u2019s going to be weirdly spicy, it\u2019s not. Turmeric just has a mild earthiness, so you\u2019re really only tasting the other spices in there, which are similar to that of a chai tea. Why has the turmeric latte become such a huge trend?
