It&#8217;s also a handy way to upcycle and recycle old jars, something that you&#8217;re bound to have lots of lying around. We also like the idea of giving these away as gifts, or as a way to entertain the\u00a0kids\u00a0as they can personalise their own candle holder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong>What You Need..<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Glass jars \u2013 any size or shape as long as you can fit a candle inside.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Glass paint pens \u2013 we used Dala brand \u2018Glass Artliners\u2019<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Tea lights or small votive candles.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Clean the labels off the glass jars with hot, soapy water.\u00a0Ensure they are perfectly clean and dry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Using the glass pens, create your desired pattern on the glass;\u00a0the easiest way is to put your hand inside the glass and rotate it\u00a0while drawing. Be careful not to smudge the pattern as you go.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Allow to dry for at least an hour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Once dried, pop a tea light or small votive candle inside\u00a0and light. There you go \u2013 a quick and easy way to jazz\u00a0up an area, indoors or outside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Optional: To create a hanging lantern, use thin wire to create a handle around the neck of the jar.
