Their basement showcase, festooned in black and gold, will be running for 13 weeks, until 11 June 2016.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The recent launch featured Mal Spence from Scotland, who is Black Bottle\u2019s global ambassador and an internationally recognised mixologist.\u00a0 With more than 16 years&#8217; experience tending, managing and building up the reputation of some of Scotland\u2019s best bars, Spence has a wealth of knowledge. He rubbed shoulders with Jozi&#8217;s who&#8217;s who and spoke about Black Bottle and its fascinating history that began with the original blend developed by the Graham brothers in Scotland&#8217;s Aberdeen, way back in 1879.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Union Bar with Black Bottle\u00a0blended Scotch whisky\u00a0 will\u00a0be open to the public\u00a0on Thursday to Saturday nights, 18:30 to late, from March 11 to June 11. The venue is the newly converted Norman Goodfellows Dispatch Warehouse, on the corner of Chaplin and Oxford roads, in Illovo, Johannesburg.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Set to showcase South Africa\u2019s finest musical talent, as well as offer special events such as comedy and disco nights, cabaret and tattoo evenings, fashion shows\u00a0and\u00a0whisky pairings, The Union Bar with Black Bottle blended Scotch whisky will offer something new nearly every week.
