The event, hosted by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecraftbeerproject.co.za\" target=\"_blank\">The Craft Beer Project<\/a><\/strong>, was a chance for local micro-brewers to share\u00a0their beers with craft beer enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the 15 breweries participating showcased their range of beers, plus a brand new beer made just for the event. Festival goers were able to sample a variety of different beers from passionate, local craft brewers, while being entertained with vibey live music. The smell of amazing food from a number of popular Cape Town food trucks filled the air and the bellies of hungry patrons.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/wahini-730x400.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14923\" src=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/wahini-730x400.jpg\" alt=\"wahini-730x400\" width=\"730\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/wahini-730x400.jpg 730w, https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/wahini-730x400-300x164.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/a>Some highlights of the festival included\u00a0the amazing ice cream sandwiches from the ladies from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.icecreamsandwiches.co.za\/MENU.html\" target=\"_blank\">Cookies&amp;Cream<\/a><\/strong>, a delicious coconut IPA from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Afrocaribbeanbrewingco\" target=\"_blank\">Afro Caribbean Brewing Company<\/a><\/strong>, the &#8216;pushed&#8217; pork roll from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/WahineFoodTruck\" target=\"_blank\">Wahine Polynesian Food Truck<\/a><\/strong>, and the chicken wings spiced with &#8216;Karoo Dust&#8217; from the boys from <a href=\"http:\/\/beercountry.co.za\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Beer Country<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/beercountry-730x400.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14924\" src=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/beercountry-730x400.jpg\" alt=\"beercountry-730x400\" width=\"730\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/beercountry-730x400.jpg 730w, https:\/\/test10.co.za\/C\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/beercountry-730x400-300x164.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/a>If you missed this event, be on the look out for the next one happening in your area \u2013 the level of craft beer being produced in the Mother City is really worth experiencing for yourself.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The City Craft Beer Festival was held this past weekend, the 28th and 29th March, at the River Club in Observatory.
