Pork is one of the most versatile meats to cook with and we show you exactly that with these four recipes. With many different cuts available you can create dishes with Asian flair, or even something that takes your braai from boring to brimming with flavour.
Sticky Pork with Egg Noodles
Cut used: Boneless Pork Belly
In this recipe we use a piece of pork belly, skin removed, to create succulent chunks in a delectable sticky and sweet sauce. We love this dish served with egg noodles but it will work just as well with your favourite rice, even egg-fried rice if you feel like adding some flair.
Because of the sweetness of the dish it works well served with ribbons of cucumber to add freshness, even lightly pickled will be yummy. This dish is fatty and rich and perfect for a group as a little goes a long way.

Panko Pork Neck Steaks with Green Salad & Herbed Crème Fraîche
Cut used: Pork Neck Steaks
These crumbed steaks are sure to become a family favourite. Pork neck is extremely juicy and the Panko coating gives a wonderful crunch. We’ve opted to serve them with a fresh side green salad of cucumber ribbons, snap peas, green apple and pea shoots.
To accompany this, a simple dressing of lemon and olive oil is ideal. Dolloped onto the steaks is a herbed crème fraîche, which adds creaminess and the freshness of a combination of mint, basil and chives.

BBQ Pulled Pork Braaibroodjies
Cut used: Pork leg
Who doesn’t love a braaibroodjie?! This quintessential South African braai favourite just got an upgrade with the addition of BBQ pulled pork. These sarmies are truly NEXT LEVEL!
The combo of smokey braai-grilled bread, oozy cheese and sweet, sticky pulled pork is unbelievably good – trust us you’ll never look at a toasted sarmie the same way again. Best served with a cold beer and enjoyed with a friends.

Pork Rasher and Rosti Breakfast
Cut used: Rashers
We love a good breakfast fry up and this recipe takes it up a notch. It’s the perfect way to eat leftover braaied pork rashers (if there is such a thing!) or a unique way to take an average brekkie and make it awesome.
We’ve stacked two golden potato rostis with layers of avo and micro salad leaves (spinach, rocket or your favourite greens will work just as well), and topped with a soft poached egg. Served with crispy pork rashers and you have the true breakfast of champions.
