Gather around kids! We’re having a Sunday pork roast.
Sunday is arguably our favourite day of the week. It’s a celebration of the holy trinity — good music, good people and great food. It’s like a Christmas lunch rehearsal, except instead of an elaborate coma-inducing lunch, we have a hero protein. This week, that hero is pork.
A Sunday roast that’s fit for a royal family.
We’re gifting you the ultimate roast round up, fixings and all. So put on your Sunday best, then cover it up with an apron because we’re here to help you prepare a Sunday roast that’s fit for a royal family.
PORK CROWN
If you’ve never had pork crown, all you need to know is that it’s regally delicious. God save the queen because it’s the Elizabeth of meats. Pork crown comes from the loin cut of the pig and runs along the back. The bones face upward and when closed, the opposite ends of the pork cut form a crown. The middle cavity is usually filled with stuffing. This one might be better suited for a big Christmas lunch production — so we’ll skip the stuffing and stick to the pork roast.

ROAST PORK LOIN ON THE CROWN WITH ROASTED STONED FRUIT
A crown isn’t complete without precious stones and this recipe provides just that. It’s a show-stopping dish and ideal for a family Sunday lunch. The seasonal stone fruit adds a lovely fruity element to the savoury pork.

ROAST RACK OF PORK WITH ROAST POTATOES
The only thing better than one roasted dish is two. Though simple, the pomegranates in this dish make it pop. This dish is rather poetic as pomegranates are said to be a “symbol of the sweetness of heaven” and “represent the church and royalty” — no wonder they’re so costly.
For a taste of heaven, try our Roast Rack of Pork with Roast Potatoes with pomegranate.

CIDER GLAZED ROASTED PORK BELLY WITH ASIAN NOODLE SALAD
No two opposites attract more than sweet and sour. The only way to describe this roast is, scrumdiddlyumptious! If you thought that was a mouthful, you should get a load of this roasted pork belly.
The cider glaze not only lends that sweet and sour flavour, along with the tin baby apples — but also ensures the pork belly is slow-roasted to perfection. The star-anise, cinnamon and rosemary spices will fill your entire kitchen with the most wonderful aroma. The Asian noodle salad makes this dish a textural delight, thanks to the cabbage and flaked almonds.

PEAR & GORGONZOLA STUFFED PORK LOIN WITH SAGE BUTTER
Pears are not usually the first choice when it comes to pork pairings — but with that salty goodness Gorgonzola gives, it’s a match made in meat heaven. Although pork loin is a trickier cut to cook, the sage butter in this dish makes it ridiculously tender. Stuffed with all the best ingredients, this dish is delectable.
